Swallowing Stones by Joyce McDonald

When Michael discovers that he has accidentally killed the father of a friend, he struggles with his guilt until he can no longer keep his dreadful secret. A kindhearted story focusing on both the perspectives - the killer and the family grieving their loss.

  2. Interesting... Interesting. I guess it would be hard to kill your friends dad and not know it.

  3. Are they really swallowing stones? One of the strongest features of this story is its ability to convey the emotions that the various situations evoke and then show how the characters deal with them.
