Pinklaxgurl suggests....
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It has suspense, drama, action and more! It is a wonderful book. You'll feel like you're actually in the book!
This series of books always stay on hold in our library! Definitely a popular read among suspense and fantasy readers!
