The House of Djinn

The House of Djinn by Suzanne Fisher Staples is the third in a series by this author. I did take me awhile to get into this book because I have not read the first two books. The book is set in California and in Pakistan. The contrast between the two cultures is very evident. Jameel lives in California and every summer visits his grandfather, a tribal chief, in Pakistan. There are many characters to keep track of, but the climax is worth the work. I felt like the author set the stage for a fourth book at the end. I give this novel 3 stars.
