Be sure to check out the new book "Chains" by Laurie Halse Anderson. Historical Fiction. Revolutionary War beginning. Characters: Ruth and Isabel (sisters) promised freedom on death of owner, but became property of the Locktons who were not kind. Isabel was a spy, giving info to her friend Curzon who has ties to the Patriots. Locktons were on the side of the Brtish, so Isabel had to be very careful. Isabel finally runs away, rescuing her friend, Curzon, from a prison. Sequel to this book is "Forge". I liked the suspense and the helping hands Isabel received from a few good epople. I liked her determination.
